Abstract:

This paper concentrated on signal processing of the signal reflected from the terrain. The identification of the terrain type is based on the comparison of the statistical distributions of the reflected signal amplitude: the current distribution and the reference distribution, which type is known. The maximum of the posteriori probability is corresponded to the detected type of the terrain. The algorithm of the identification could be used for correction the inertial navigation system. The algorithm is realized in C-band. © 2016 IEEE.
