Abstract:
This paper compares Flux Reversal Machines designed for high speed applications with rotor and stator cores made of Laminated Steel and Soft Magnetic Composite (LS FRM and SMC FRM). The advantages of SMC FRM such as the short flux paths, the wasteless production technology and the winding weight reduction allow us to design cheap and high effective motors. These advantages of SMC FRM are proved with mathematical modeling. © 2016, Institution of Engineering and Technology. All rights reserved.
