Abstract:
An angle grinder with a new Flux Reversal motor (FRM) considered in this paper has higher efficiency, lower mass and longer service time compared with analogues. The speed stabilization increases its productivity. The mathematical model of the FRM allowing us not only to calculate the motor power but to estimate the winding and core losses is described. The comparative tests have been held and its results are also discussed in the paper. © 2016, Institution of Engineering and Technology. All rights reserved.
