Abstract:
In this paper a new model of sun activity based on negative effective magnetic pressure instability approach was evaluated with data assimilation scheme and validated on the observation vector of Wolf sunspot number. As the main data assimilation technique the Stochastic Ensemble Kalman Filter (SEnKF) has been chosen. With this adaptive approach we estimated and updated the initial state and parameters of the described model. After some additional implementations the model has been validated on all solar activity cycles leading to plausible results. The overall resulting relative error between observed monthly sunspot number and simulated sunspot number is less than 15\%.
