Abstract:
The computational and experimental validation of the composition of homogeneous radiation-protective materials with prescribed properties is reviewed. It is shown that design based on the principle of optimization of protection in application to planned irradiation has potential. Methods and computational-experimental investigation of homogeneous radiation-protective materials of the Abris type with barite, lead, and tungsten concentration 20-90\% are presented. A technology for obtaining gamma-radiation sources used in experiments in the IVV-2M research reactor is described.
