Abstract:
In this work, a new class of nonlinear filters called vector median aggregation filters for multispectral image processing is introduced and applied to the color image filtering problem. These filters are based on an arbitrary pair of aggregation operators and a selection rule. We show that a large body of vector median filters proposed to date constitute a proper subset of new vector median aggregation filters set.
