Abstract:

The problem of the research-psychological characteristics in multicultural academic area is quite new scientific issue, which has complex interdisciplinary nature. The goal of the research is the analysis of professional-psychological characteristics of teaching staff in multicultural academic area in Russia. The research was held within the general education institutions of Moscow, Amur and Ekaterinburg regions. The working staff of multicultural and monocultural academic areas took part at the research and composed its empirical basis (1395 people in total). Methods: empathy diagnostics methods (A. Megrabyan), social - communicative competence diagnostics methods (N.P. Fetiskin, V.V. Kozlov, G.M. Manuilov), social - psychological mobility diagnostics methods, string - willed self-control diagnostics method (A.G. Zverev, E.V. Eidman), test on cultural value orientation (L.G. Pochebut), personal adaptation to new social cultural area methods (L.Y. Yankovsky); ethnic identity types' studying methods (G.U. Soldatova, S.V. Rizhova), `'Individualism - collectivism index{''} methods (L.G. Pochebut), ``Social pattern variables{''} (T.Parsons); ``Types and components tolerance intolerance{''} (G.L. Bardier); ``Personal change-readiness survey{''} (A. Rolnic, S. Heather, M. Gold, C. Hull).
