Abstract:
An exact analytical solution of a thermo-diffusional problem describing the steady-state growth of a free dendrite into a binary mixture under forced viscous flow is found with allowance for the effects of thermodiffusion and temperature-dependent diffusivity. We demonstrate that the non-linear mass transfer substantially change the solute concentration. © 2017 Author(s).
