Abstract:
An efficient parallel algorithm based on BiCG-type methods for solving the inverse gravity problem of finding a variable density in a curvilinear layer using gravitational data is constructed. It is based on the results of field theory, theory of ill-posed inverse problems and numerical optimization. Utilizing this algorithm drastically reduces the computation time in comparison with the steepest descent method. The parallel algorithm was implemented using the Uran supercomputer. A model problem with synthetic gravitational data was solved. © 2017 Author(s).
