Abstract:
In the practice of engineering calculations the method of determining the power inductor and power settings using the equivalent circuit is commonly used. In numerous sources the method of calculation of inductors with a ferromagnetic screen, as well as inductors of increased or high frequency unshielded designs is given. An inductor with a loading in such a furnace is placed inside a non-magnetic conductive body - screen made of, for example, a copper alloy. When calculating the inductor with an electromagnetic conductive shield, the use of self-induction coefficients listed in the sources is not entirely correct. The coefficient of self-induction shows the ratio of inductance of the opening of an empty inductor and of inductance of an empty inductor with consideration of the return flow circuit. For the calculation of the self-inductance coefficient of a shielded inductor in a special software package. To determine the estimated value of the coefficient of self-induction a comparison of the results of the calculation using the method of equivalent circuits with the corresponding results of simulation in a special software package with the use of the method of final elements was made. © 2017 IEEE.
