Abstract:
We demonstrate that under certain circumstances a chaotic system driven by another chaotic system implies stable periodicity. This effect of enhancing coherence in the response system can occur when the uncoupled response system is close to a periodic window and the coupling strength is sufficiently small. The effect is illustrated with logistic maps and Rulkov maps unidirectionally coupled by either their functions or variables. Copyright (C) EPLA, 2017
