Abstract:
We propose a theoretical model of magnetostriction hysteresis in soft magnetic gels filled by micronsized magnetizable particles. The hysteresis is explained by unification of the particles into linear chain-like aggregates while the field increasing and rupture of the chains when the field is decreased.
