Abstract:

The article examines the institutional environment of social innovations that is one of the most significant factor of social innovations' development. The study makes recommendations on how to improve the efficiency of the institutional management of social innovations. In order to achieve the aim of our research, it has been developed the definition, typology and analytical review of practices of social innovations in Russia and the rest of the world. In addition, it has been proposed a methodological approach to the systematisation of social innovation, including the institutions of production, distribution, regulation and consumption.
