Abstract:
A study was conducted to develop the theory of solidification and for the construction of analytical solutions of the nonlinear thermal diffusion problem in the presence of two moving phase-transition regions. The study also focused on the use of the phase diagram of solidification for the three-component systems and the linear dependence between the phase transition temperature and the dissolved component concentrations. The thermal conductivity k in the two-phase region was expressed through the thermal conductivities of the liquid and solid phases. The temperature Tp in the phase region was expressed through the concentration of components, using the liquidus equation. The data from the study showed that the temperature in the two-phase region is a linear function of the spatial coordinate.
