Abstract:
The article is dedicated to power system stability analysis in terms of Power System Stabiliser (PSS) tuning parameters. The main is joining D-decomposition algorithm with identification procedure. The former allows to plot stability domains in PSS tuning parameters space. The latter enables to obtain power system model for its current operation mode. As a result, plotted stability domains corresponds to current power system state. Moreover, D-decomposition algorithm is also used to plot damping domains, corresponding to different damping ratio of low-frequency oscillations. Finally, PSS tuning is evaluated in terms of its damping influence using plotted damping and stability domains. Proposed approach is tested on four-machine classical scheme for low-frequency oscillations analisys.
