Abstract:
The reaction of 5-amino-1,2,3-thiadiazol-4-carbothioamides with methyl iodide basically generates α-diazo-S-methylthioimidates and -carbothioimidolates. It is shown that the reactivity of the latter increases when either alkyl or aryl substituents are introduced at the nitrogen atom of the carbothioamide group © 1993 Plenum Publishing Corporation.
