Abstract:

Chemical engineering and petrographic characteristics of Kuzbass coals were measured using a combined laboratory scheme of the evaluation of the coals technological properties based on the available domestic and international techniques. The coals were separated into three groups by the criteria of oxidation degree, ash content, elementary analysis data, and petrographic composition. The reflectograms of the coals studied are discussed. The results obtained make it possible to evaluate these coals as raw materials for the thermooxidative coking process.
