Abstract:
The regularities of phase transformations and initial stages of decomposition of the supersaturated solid solutions are studied to find the ways of improvement of resistance to delayed fracture of maraging steels. The 01N18M4T and 03N18K3N3T steels after heat treatment and aging are subjected to mechanical tests by bending under constant load. It is inferred that the complicated quenching regimes, inducing the blur of martensite structure at the sacrifice of appearance of new components, is the basic method for combating delayed fracture.
