Abstract:
The tests for general corrosion and corrosion cracking new high-nitrogen (0.424-1.281%N), chromium (14.93-23.85%Cr) Fe-based alloy and Cr-Ni alloy (18%Cr-2%Ni) are carried out. The results are compared with commercial steels of 08Kh18N10T and 12Kh18AG20 for the tests in 20% aqueous solution of NaCl. The fracture surfaces of alloys are investigated by the method of x-ray diffraction analysis. A character of crack propagation enables to estimate new alloy as promising in place of the traditional stainless steels.
