Abstract:
Results of tests are presented relating to an investigation of the stressed state and stability of heated cylindrical shells with the wall thickness varying linearly along the generatrix. The test rig and the experiment are described. Tables comparing theoretical and experimental results are presented. Relevance of the tests for rocket technology and supersonic aircraft design is mentioned.
