Abstract:
This paper deals with the description of the domain structure evolution in real samples in terms of geometrical transformations and its testing by model experiments and computer simulation. The finiteness of the switched media and nonrandom spatial distribution of nucleation sites was taken into account. We demonstrated the possibility of the description of the evolution of domain structure from the very beginning to the end by the expressions of Kolmogorov-Avrami type. As a result the method of mathematical treatment within which one can obtain the essential information about phase kinetics concealed in integral experimental data was elaborated. © 1995, Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
