Abstract:
Certain aspects of the catalytic activity in CO oxidation and NO reduction of coatings based on perovskite lanthanum strontium cobaltate, which are deposited by pyrolyzing polymer-salt solutions, are studied. The catalytic activity of coatings is improved by their interactions with titanium substrates. Possible reaction routes of titanium with cobaltates are proposed and thermodynamically examined. Comparative data on the catalytic activity of various cobaltates versus titanium substrates and indifferent coated substrates are obtained. The specific rates of catalytic reactions in semiindustrial production conditions are calculated. The variation of the specific surface area of catalyst specimens with synthesis variables, especially temperature, is established.
