Abstract:
We analyzed Mössbauer spectra and hyperfine structure parameters of 57Fe nuclei in molecules of human liver ferritin, ferritins in chicken liver and spleen tissues, and ferritin-modeling iron - dextran complexes. Small differences were detected in the hyperfine structure parameters of 57Fe nuclei, which were explained by small structural differences in iron cores in proteins and their models. © 2006 by Allerton Press, Inc.
