Abstract:
Experimental and theoretical studies have been made into the behaviour of domain walls in cubic crystals in the form of (111) plates with predominant perpendicular anisotropy. Experiments on ferrite-garnet specimens (Tb0.3Er0.1Gd2.4Fe5O12, Tb0.7Er1.3Gd1.0Al0.2Fe4.8O12) have revealed the phenomenon of crystallographic reorientation of domain wall related to changes in its internal structure. The model has been suggested which takes into account Neel distortions of domain wall structure and explains the reorientation of domain wall plane when induced/cubic anisotropy constant ratio is changing. The dependence of domain wall orientation on magnetic field has been found. Experimental and theoretical results are in a quantitative agreement.
