Abstract:
LiNiO2 displays a long-range magnetic (either ferromagnetic or antiferromagnetic) order, a short-range magnetic order, or no magnetic order, depending on the degree of its structural order. In LiNiO2 and related compounds, the degree of order appears to be a no less decisive property-controlling factor than the stoichiometry or even the elemental composition.
