Abstract:
The deformation and recrystallization textures appearing during rolling and annealing of face centered cubic (fcc) Ir single crystals at elevated temperature were studied using X-ray diffraction. The texture component/rolling plane (RP) was observed for each high deformation temperature. Observing alteration of the texture of the deformed pure single-Ir after ultrahigh vacuum (UHV) annealing, the primary recrystallization temperature of pure Ir was found not to exceed 670 K.
