Abstract:
The influence of prior cold deformation is investigated with regard to the stability of the mechanical properties and fine structure of ordered alloy CoPt. It is found that the inclusion of strong plastic deformation before high-temperature annealing treatment ensures a structural state with both high strength and plasticity. Together with improved thermal stability the achievement of such levels is due to the formation of interconnected lamellar and low-energy dislocation structures.
