Abstract:
A statistical model of active ion transport in the biomembrane is proposed. The energy conversion coefficient was obtained for linear and non-linear processes equal in the linear case to that obtained in linear thermodynamics. On the basis of the assumption of a maximum of this coefficient the parameters of ion transfer were found. The results of the statistical model well agree with experiments on active ion transport in biomembranes. © 1994.
