Abstract:
Heat timed treatment (HTT) of melts includes: metal heating up to critical temperatures, found out from investigation of polythermic line physical properties; its holding during a definite time; cooling up to temperatures of outlet and cast; holding at this temperature. Any changes of interrelation between these stages are exhibited at final material properties. The melt hold time at a temperature of outlet from a furnace decreases liquid metal gas saturation and promotes production of dense casts. The HTT process is one of the basic stages of fabrication of high-quality amorphous and microcrystalline materials.
