Abstract:
The kinetic viscosity, surface tension, and specific electric resistance of VNL1, VNL3, and VNL6 steels are studied. By their basic alloying elements, chromium and nickel, as well as the contents of carbon, silicon, and manganese, the steels are close to each other. The differences reduce to variations in the content of molybdenum, copper, niobium, and cobalt. The purpose of the present study lies in studying the influence of chemical composition and structure of solid metal upon the value and pattern of temperature-viscosity curves, characterizing the physical properties of liquid steel.
