Abstract:
Ladle metallurgy plays very important role in production of steel. Development of ladle metallurgy influences technology of ferroalloy addition into melt. Various methods of the ferroalloy addition have been created. The methods have been described. Mathematical model of ferroalloy melting has been developed. Calculation of melting the silicocalcium of SK30 grade has been performed. Chemical composition of it has been presented. Hydrodynamic part of the mathematical model determines speed of movement of the ferroalloy lump. Results of the calculation have been described. Duration of melting the lump has been found.
