Abstract:
Process rate of ferroalloy melting and dissolution in the liquid steel is considered. The complex Si-based ferroalloys, containing Ca, Mg, Ba, REM and Al, are studied. Mathematical simulation is executed on the basis of study of the thermal characteristics of ferroalloys. The individual stages duration and general time of melting are defined depending on composition of ferroalloys. The results of computations are presented for ferroalloy melting in Fe-C melt.
