Abstract:
It is shown that the addition of cobalt-containing spent oxide catalyst (up to 7 wt.%) in the mixture for synthesizing the acid resistant one-coat enamel instead of expensive cobalt and nickel oxides don't lower the enamel wettability. The cobalt oxide content in this enamel will be equal to 0.2-0.3 wt.% that provides the satisfactory adhesion to steel surface. The equation describing the dependence of contact angle on the enamel composition is derived and is shown to be adequate.
