Abstract:
Microstructurized infrared fibers made of silver halide solid solutions doped with TlI are discussed. A few types of fibers have been designed using dedicated software. The waveguides manufactured showed wider transmission range up to 2-40 μm, low optical losses of 0.1 dB/m and improved flexibility and durability. © 2012 OSA.
