Abstract:
The methods of determination of the basic technological parameters upon metal (Ti) melting in the vacuum arc furnaces are considered. The latter serve as high-frequency coaxial resonator with high soundness, that improves a metal quality (structure) due to more accurate control of ratio of melting weight and melt crystallization rates. An influence of eddy currents and electron resonance leads to even melting process controlling via changing in cathode voltage drop. This is important for shrinkage cavity avoidance.
