Abstract:
In the paper a three dimensional zonal model of the external heat exchange developed for a melting zone of the glass furnace is described. The scheme of torches development at bottom and lateral fuel supply was found using the results of aerodynamic simulation. It is established that the bottom fuel supply makes it possible to provide higher level of heat absorption by the glass melt and to lower the furnace arch temperature.
