Abstract:
A numerical method is proposed to solve the system of nonlinear equations arising during algebraic approximation of the transport equations of energy by radiation and convection. The classical Newton-Rafson scheme lies in the base of the method. In order to solve the system of linearized equations, the method of conjugated gradients with a prespecified and symmetrized matrix of the system is used. Consideration is given to different kinds of preconditionality, a sphere of application of each of them is determined. With reference to a test example the effectiveness of the proposed method as compared to the Newton-Rafson method is shown.
