Abstract:
Regularities of interrelated heat and mass exchange processes in moving and reacting media are considered for metallurgical applications. On the basis of linear kinetic model the autogeneration parameters of a physicochemical process are determined. A formula is obtained for comparative evaluation of summarized mass exchange coefficient, physicochemical efficiency being known. Relation-ships of efficiency and heat exchange intensification density to autogeneration parameters of simultaneously proceeding physicochemical and heat exchange processes are revealed. Applications of the technique developed are demonstrated for the processes occurring in the upper part of a domain furnace and in shaft furnaces for reduction of iron ore pellets.
