Abstract:

Experiments carried out on a flame rig consisting of a 6450 multiplied by 1500 multiplied by 980 mm chamber with different firing arrangements but other conditions fairly comparable are described in which flow and temperature patterns were studied. The interrelations of the various factors are considered and results obtained, in particular with the conventional end firing and two roof firing arrangements, are compared.
