Abstract:
The results of experimental studies of an electrogas burner with a natural gas output of 10m**3/hr, an electric power input of up to 70kW, and which operates without the introduction of an ionizing additive are presented. The main modes of operation of the burner are a high-temperature mode, when the air consumption coefficients are close to unity, and a nonoxidative or reduction mode, when the air consumption coefficients are significantly less than unity, the characteristic features of the gas combustion in these modes are shown. The prospects for industrial use of electrogas burners are indicated.
