Abstract:
The article deals with the separation of a binary gas mixture in a capillary under the effect of a pressure gradient and proceeds on the basis of a solution of the Bhatnagar-Gross-Krook equation. The theory describes the experimental data for the pairs CO//2-Ar and CO//2-N//2. A theoretic treatment of the CO//2-Ar pair leads to a change in the direction of separation in the intermediate regime.
