Abstract:

The sealing units of mill rollers are operated under heavy conditions. The units should provide efficient operation of the rollers. In case of the traditional units, leakage of lubricants takes place. Contamination of environment and deterioration of product quality are noted. in this case. In connection with this, more efficient sealing collars have been developed. Various materials of the collars have been investigated. Results of the investigations have shown that filled polyurethane is the most suitable material for the collars. Properties of the polyurethane have been described. Various fillers have been studied/ Optimal filler has been found.
