Abstract:

Process of thermal oxidation of coal tar pitch has been considered. Injection of air into melt of the coal tar pitch is provided. It has been shown that temperature of the process should not be high. Optimal temperature of the process is 250-300°C. Scheme of industrial plant for thermal oxidation has been presented. Conditions of bubbling have been described. It has been found that consumption of air is very important parameter of the process. Method of air injection plays great role. Hydrodynamic of the process has been described. Mathematical model of the process has been developed. Various equipment has been described.
