Abstract:

The main problems of the high-temperature pitch manufacture are related to the lack of operational characteristics of the oxidation process and the scientific quick test techniques providing the quality control and the prediction of frothing in the coking process. The shortcomings of this pitch coke manufacture at the coke plants are the low efficiency and oxygen uptake. To intensity the process of the pitch coke manufacture the use of air enriched with oxygen can be recommended in the first stage of the process.
