Abstract:
The effect of the physicochemical properties of phase solvents on the intensity of SSC (Spontaneous Surface Convection) has been investigated in many studies but there are no methods of calculation and equations for estimating the intensity of SSC based on the physicochemical properties of the extraction systems in the literature. In view of this the possibility of the quantitative estimation of the intensity of SSC during liquid extraction was examined. Based on the experimental studies of mass transfer of surfactants, criterial equations for calculation of the intensity constants of both SSC modes based on the physicochemical properties of the extraction systems, and which take into consideration the value of the free energy of disrribution, are proposed.
