Abstract:

Microstructural and X-ray diffraction methods of analysis were used to study causes of surface defects on 03Kh12N8K5M2TYu-VI maraging steel wire after heat treatment on thermal pickling units with an atmosphere of cracked ammonia. Recommended technology for heat treatment and pickling of wire of the given steel is outlined.
