Abstract:
Mechanical properties of large-diameter wire in vacuum-melted N16K4M5T2Yu quality have been investigated. It was found that an optimum combination of tensile, ductile, and impact values can be obtained after quenching from 850 degree C followed by 75% deformation and aging at 500 degree C. These tensile, ductile, and impact properties were investigated by mechanical tests at low temperatures down to minus 196 degree C.
