Abstract:
The temperature ranges of the structural transformations in the high-temperature nickel-based EP902 superalloy melt relating to the transition of the melt into homogeneous and microuniform states are determined as a result of combined studies of the physical properties of the alloy melt. Based on these results, a new melting regime is proposed and examined. As a result, the technological problems of casting have been solved and the operating properties of the alloy have been substantially improved. © 2014, Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.
