Abstract:
It is not possible to use glass enamels as corrosion resistant, wear resistant, and decorative coatings unless a satisfactory bond formation between them and metals is ensured. At the present time, this problem is solved by introducing oxides of cobalt, nickel, copper, and other metals into the glass enamels. This paper deals with a study of the interaction between the glass oxide melts and an aluminized steel and determination of the nature of the solid and gaseous products of their interaction.
