Abstract:
The variations of viscosity of Al-Co melts with Co content of 0.2; 0.5; 0.7; 1.0; 2.0; 5.0; 7.0 and 10.0 % are measured. Microstructures of solid alloys with concentrations of 0.5, 1.0 and 10.0 % Co, heated up to different temperatures in liquid state, are investigated. An influence of overheating on structure of specimens of hypoeutectic composition is revealed by metallographic analysis of microstructures. The results are interpreted in the context of colloidal model of the melt microheterogeneous structure.
